3 places when going to India

NEW DELHI

The Indian capital is often the point you should fly to the first day

New Delhi is quite convenient for shopping for clothes, souvenirs. You can go to Connaught Place in the central area and markets like Main Bazaar for easy shopping.

You can visit the Red Fort fortress, the mosque, the Indian Gate (a national monument of India honoring the fallen soldiers), the Parliament building …

Choose a hotel near the train station, prepare a change in tuktuk and conveniently buy miscellaneous items, drinking water, snacks.

Ladies, don’t forget to drink the famous Chai milk tea. Particularly this dish can be drunk every day without fear, the Chai flavor is similar to Nepalese milk tea, aromatic cinnamon aroma and not as bored as Tibetan butter tea.

ARGA

From New Delhi you take the train about 3 hours to Arga to admire the beautiful Taj Mahal temple.

Buying train tickets is a job that takes patience. Although you have a website to buy tickets online, you have to register as a member first and it is quite difficult to select train classes. So our group went straight to the station to buy tickets directly. You will receive the number and wait, queue to ask for information (day trip, classes) and bring that information to the ticket.

You can buy all the tickets for many points in the journey always so that the next meal will not be too hard and time consuming to buy tickets anymore. Note that travel “volunteers” often quote many times higher than the original fare, so don’t ask anyone to buy a ticket without really knowing or trusting. Please be patient “take your own initiative” to buy the right price and also have a good experience.

To Arga choose the hotel right on the road to the Taj Mahal for easy walking to the temple, the riverside surrounding the temple and the food court. You will be amazed at the majesty of the Taj Mahal.

VARANASI

You can take the train from Arga to Varanasi – Ancient city on the banks of the Ganges. From the Taj Mahal area to the train station quite far so have to take a car. You should ask the price of a car at the hotel, then go out and ask for more places. Cheaper cars go. Train tickets you have purchased from New Delhi in the same batch with buying tickets to Arga already.

Because this stage is far away, you should buy a ticket for an air-conditioned prescription bed. Our train was delayed by 7 hours, causing the whole group to sleep idly at the train station, where birds flew and parked everywhere.

Choose a hotel which is easy to walk to the banks of the Ganges. All day you just walk along the river from morning to night and you have seen many strange things about the life of the local people. From 5am, you can get up early to run outside to see people practicing Yoga along the Ganges.
